Build Trusted Industrial AI.
Deploy AI on your factory floor with confidence. TIA-Ready — short for Trusted Industrial AI, Ready — is an industry-led framework and recognition pathway developed by AutomationSG, helping manufacturers, integrators and technology providers manage, govern and evidence one AI use case at a time — and show customers they can trust it.
WHAT "TRUSTED" MEANS

RECOGNITION & THE TIA-READY LOGO
A recognition that can be verified
When the required criteria are met, the use case has been independently assessed, and AutomationSG approves the recognition decision, an organisation may achieve TIA-Ready Recognition for the stated use case — represented by an approved TIA-Ready Recognition Logo.
Recognition applies only to the stated use case and scope — not an enterprise-wide, product-safety, or legal-compliance certification.

WHY THIS EXISTS
- Manufacturing is entering the AI era. AI is transforming operations – from machine vision and predictive maintenance to robotics, engineering and everyday productivity. Governance is struggling to keep up.

WHAT IS TIA-READY
A practical first step in industrial AI assurance
TIA-Ready is a use-case-scoped, evidence-based readiness and recognition framework. Instead of requiring a company to transform its entire organisation at once, it starts with a clearly defined AI use case, operational boundary and risk profile.
It brings together relevant principles from established standards, regulatory developments and published governance frameworks, and translates them into a practical pathway for industrial deployment.
Developed by AutomationSG with guidance from an industry Steering Committee.
Recognition applies to the approved AI use case, site, operating boundary and conditions.
Controls must be supported by reviewable documents, records, testing and operational evidence.
Designed as a practical starting point that helps organisations progressively prepare for future ISO/IEC 42001 adoption, where appropriate.
| TIA-Ready is | TIA-Ready is not |
|---|---|
| An industry recognition pathway, built with manufacturers and technology partners | A government certification or legal requirement |
| Focused on one real, defined AI use case in your operations | An audit or certification of your whole company or product |
| A guided pathway with training and implementation support available | A one-off exam you pass or fail |
| Anchored to and benchmarked against ISO/IEC 42001 | A replacement for ISO/IEC 42001 certification |
WHO ARE YOU
Choose the path that fits your company
TIA-Ready is built for the whole industrial AI ecosystem — not just factory owners.
Using or planning AI in operations, production, engineering, quality or maintenance.
Designing or deploying AI-enabled industrial solutions for customers.
Your tools are used within a specific industrial deployment or customer use case.
Interested in supporting implementation, independent assessment or training.
WHAT IT HELPS YOU ACHIEVE
Build trust without starting with a massive compliance programme
Define exactly what the AI does, who uses it, what data it accesses and what decisions it influences.
Establish appropriate rules for confidential factory, production, quality, personal and customer data.
Assign responsible owners, approval rights, escalation routes and human override duties.
Document testing, monitoring, change control, incidents, fallback and corrective action.
Provide a structured recognition record that supports customer, procurement and supply-chain discussions.
Develop governance and evidence artefacts that may support future ISO/IEC 42001, customer assurance or regulatory-readiness work.
HOW IT WORKS
A guided pathway from use-case scoping to recognition
From initial scoping through to recognition and ongoing maintenance — timeline depends on the use-case tier, scope, evidence readiness and required controls.
Define the AI use case, operational boundary, intended and excluded uses, accountable owners, data involved and initial risk profile.
Implement proportionate controls for risk, cybersecurity, data, oversight, testing, monitoring, changes, incidents and training.
Complete evidence preparation, independent assessment and AutomationSG recognition review.
IS THIS US?
Typical Industrial AI use cases
If any of these sound familiar, TIA-Ready is likely relevant to you.
TRAINING & SUPPORT
Build the capability behind the controls
TIA-Ready is supported by capability-development pathways for leaders, employees, accountable AI leads, consultants and assessors — including Industrial AI Literacy training and guided implementation support from an AutomationSG Recognised Consultant, reviewed by an Independent Assessor.

The ARC implements; the Independent Assessor reviews. The same person or organisation is never both, for the same engagement.
POSSIBLE SUPPORT PATHWAYS
Funding support may be available
Depending on the company, activity and prevailing programme criteria, elements such as training, cybersecurity readiness, consultancy or standards preparation may qualify for support under relevant government schemes.
AutomationSG can help companies identify programmes that may be worth exploring. Eligibility, approval and funding levels are determined by the respective programme owners and are not guaranteed as part of TIA-Ready participation.
WHY AUTOMATIONSG
AutomationSG is Singapore's industry association for members in the Robotics, IoT and Automation industries. TIA-Ready is AutomationSG's flagship initiative to help its members and the wider industry adopt industrial AI responsibly.
GOVERNANCE
Steering Committee
The TIA-Ready Framework is owned and administered by AutomationSG. Its development is guided by a Steering Committee.
Steering Committee participants are named here only once their participation and public acknowledgement have been confirmed and logo-use permission obtained. Participation does not imply that a member certifies, approves or guarantees any individual company's recognition.
